Renee Chodkowski has been involved with food preparation her entire life, and she’s been teaching kids her special brand of kitchen magic for over two decades.
She knows how valuable spending time in a kitchen is for a kid. Her lifelong love affair with cooking began when she herself was just a toddler. She learned the basics of cooking in her grandmother’s diner. It was there that she absorbed the lessons that serve as the foundation of her professional life while attached to Grandma’s hip.
That’s why Renee is passionate about sharing her joy of cooking fresh, nutritious meals with kids. In her high-energy classes for kids, she performs the magic of creating dishes by combining whatever is fresh at the market with what is on hand in the kitchen.
Renee blends the kid-appropriate recipes she’s developed with lessons in science and math, and instructions about using everyday kitchen equipment and safe cooking techniques.
She also places a great emphasis on introducing kids to different ingredients, which will hopefully help them expand what they will eat. She believes her classes help kids become interested in different foods by sampling dishes they helped create.
